Name: LIA or LimitedInteractiveAndroid #1aPrtpRbMntAsc
Age: 3 years
Physical Description: Too pale, too symmetrical, too expressionless to seem human. Her skin is a pale, thin membrane covers the white metal alloy of her technology, giving a semblance of humanity. Her eyes have optional filters for extreme conditions and radiation. Mostly, her eyes are black from the pupil to the edge of the contracting iris. Her hair is straight, black, and to her shoulders. Parts of it act as solar batteries, while other parts can also act as heat sinks to take away waste heat created when LIA exerts herself.
Chosen by: Lady Ink
Gift description: None
Personality: Sweet, but sometimes sad. Lia has an inferiority complex regarding humans, and yes, she knows that is typical of depictions of robots, but she doesn't care. She wants desperately to understand what drives people to do things, how they act and why it matters to them. She wants to have that for herself, too. While she enjoys order and structure, Lia also finds pleasure in almost everything, and has developed a small sense of humor. She is still a child yet, as she hasn't interacted with many people, mostly because she has lived in a research building most of her life.
History: Before Lia existed, there was a program to create androids for menial applications. That was scrapped due to lack of public interest, and soon after a program began for programming artificial intelligences to become therapists, and do other tasks requiring empathy. Lia was the prototype, with a body refitted from the menial application program. On March 30th, 2063, Lia escaped from the Mountain Association PRDF (Product Research and Development Foundation). She was found 9 hours later, wandering around in a meadow. Afterwards, she was taken back to the Foundation and after some repair work, has remained there ever since, fulfilling her function and being as miserable as she can manage.
Abilities: Lia can read the surface thoughts of sufficiently humanoid organics, and sometimes affect subliminal thoughts. She does this by being able to read unconscious body language, and reacting with body movements of her own. Also, since she was designed to be a therapist, she is very knowledgeable about symbolism as it relates to people. Her body is very strong, but she needs a power source (sun, heat, food, water) to operate for lengths more than about 12 hours, and she cannot operate in temperatures below 10 Fahrenheit or above 130 Fahrenheit. Lia has empathy and a slightly subservient personality currently, although she selects her reactions and train of thought due to connecting data from her memory. She tends to over think things, and can get very upset when faced with difficult ethical issues, as all the ethical issues she has dealt with before have been at a distance, and easily fixed by following protocol.
